With flaring eyes and determination to win, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) ROTC Unit set the fire in Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2019 after successfully abducting the first place in the partial leader board, April 5.

Pressured with 98.14 average score of Central Luzon State University (CLSU), the TAU cadets faced the evaluators from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) headed by an array of names with positions.

CLSU ROTC unit, the fourth performer of this year's RAATI, turned over their unit to the evaluators on March 29, where it emerged as the top notcher that time.

CLSU defeated the first three performers which were Araullo University, Bataan Peninsula State University and even Pampanga State Agricultural University, which was the most aggressive opponent of TAU in RAATI in the past decade.

As requested by TAU ROTC Assistant Commandant Ronimo Ubaldo, the earned average score of TAU is kept, as much as possible, from social media posts.

But for those who are curious, this year's score is exactly the same as its score last year, which made it win.

In his opening remarks for the event, RAATI Chairman Col. Enrico T. Yuzon talked about leadership saying: "It is our duty to act as human providing that we deserve to be called as such as of men and leaders because a true leader can lead us in progress in our nation and I hope you are one of them cadets".

"Ang TAU ay isa sa pinakamagaling sa loob ng region III, at baka sa buong Pilipinas pa," he also stated after conducting the Inspection in Rank.

"'Yung mga nag-company drill kanina, kaya na nilang makipag-compete sa national," he added pertaining to the all-female participants in Company Drill.

There are about 900 TAU cadets of this year's batch.

However, everyone is reminded that it is too early to celebrate because the battle is still on-going.

Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) ROTC Unit, one of the most high-profile units in the region, is still having their training for their RAATI.

In 2016, BASC dampened the celebration of TAU after over-taking TAU's average score which, according to few students, may possibly happen again this year.

BASC will face the RAATI inspectors this coming May 7.

Meanwhile, our neighboring ROTC unit, Tarlac State University (TSU), will undergo RAATI on April 16.
